A’s President Dave Kaval said on Thursday that the team will be called "just the A’s, just the Athletics," going forward. But he also said plans are in the works to “honor” Sacramento in other ways, including with team uniforms, when the A’s temporarily relocate to Sutter Health Park in West Sacramento beginning with the 2025 season.The A's will play at Sutter Health Park for the three seasons — there is an option for a fourth season — as the team's permanent home in Las Vegas is not expected to be ready until 2028."Well, you know, we're going to play as the Athletics, you know, I think because we're kind of in an interim period, we felt that that was the best way to position the club," Kaval said. Here’s what it calls for: “Clothing, namely, headwear; shirts; sweaters; vests; bottoms as clothing; dresses; skirts; athletic uniforms; jerseys being clothing; underwear; undergarments; sleepwear; robes; swimwear; jackets; sweatshirts; ponchos; aprons; clothing wraps; infant wear; cloth bibs; ties; belts; footwear; socks; hosiery; scarves; gloves; mittens; headbands; wristbands as clothing.” A separate application for “Sacramento A’s” lists “entertainment services” like baseball games, entertainment media production, live performances by mascots, cheerleaders, dance groups and fan clubs.
