Hey @Mark529h, just a guess here but it's just business. For whatever reason, wither profit or market share of whatever, Samsung felt the need to inflate trade-in values to get more sales and improve the market share of their Z Series phones. Now in 2024 apparently things are looking better on the P&L front and they've achieved whatever their goals were and they can abandon the "loss leader" kind of pricing and get that lost value back to their shareholders. I don't think that there's anything nefarious it's just free market. I don't work for Samsung, just my 2 cents.
