Simon recently moderated a panel on UK Equities at the London Value Investor Conference, the largest gathering of value investors in Europe. The panel included Peter Davies (Lansdowne Partners), Gary Channon (Phoenix Asset Management S.p.A.), Kiran Nandra-Koehrer (Jupiter Asset Management) and Sir Steve Webb (Lane Clark & Peacock Ireland). The panel was followed by an insightful further discussion with Joel Greenblatt of Gotham Asset Management, LLC. Joel set up the iconic & hugely successful Gotham Capital in 1985 - predecessor to Gotham Asset Management - and is an adjunct professor at Columbia University's Graduate School of Business. It was notable that there is more interest in UK value opportunities than has been seen in years! Many thanks to all the panelists for their time & expertise! Value Investing is a strategy developed by Benjamin Graham in the early Twentieth Century. Over the years, it has been widely adopted by investors who have achieved considerable success by following the approach, most notably Warren Buffett.
