Axolabs welcomes Life Sciences students into the lab Our Kulmbach site recently welcomed 50 students from the Hochschule Coburg, offering them an in-depth look at our facilities and the opportunity to meet some of our scientists. The students gained valuable insights into our support for world-leading custom research in the preclinical and clinical development of genetic-level therapeutics. Additionally, they learned about the diverse career opportunities available in science. Thank you to all the colleagues who contributed to making this visit so engaging. A special thank you to all the students for their visit and inspiring conversations. We look forward to following your careers and hope to welcome some of you to our team in the future! #CareerOpportunities #ScienceForASaferWorld

🧪New white paper out from LGC AXIO Proficiency Testing Research shows that vitamins, minerals, botanicals, and fatty acids can boost health in areas like sports performance and memory, fuelling a boom in the supplements industry. However, concerns about product safety and effectiveness remain, including issues with ingredient levels and contaminants. This whitepaper examines gaps in US and EU regulations and highlights the importance of Proficiency Testing to ensure quality and to help top brands stand out. Free to download, it also examines the breadth of quality markers and chemical contaminants in supplements, and consider the significant technical challenges faced by manufacturers. https://ow.ly/2XBT50SoXVQ

🗺LGC are walking the world! We're raising money for our corporate charity partner, @Save the Children UK by stepping into action and walking for our wellbeing! Over the next 6 weeks, we will be actively encouraging our LGC colleagues to collectively walk as many steps as possible, whether at work or play, from the commute to and from work, to the dash to the school gates and home again. Every step matters, whether it's through walking, running or working out, each and every step counts towards our collective target. LGC will contribute £15k at the conclusion of the campaign to further support this cause. We're looking forward to getting moving and raising some money to help keep children around the world safe, healthy and learning. #ScienceforaSaferWorld

🌈#Pride2024 at LGC We invited our leadership team to reflect on Pride, in relation to LGC and to them personally. Each picked a word that sums up what Pride means to them - click on the image below to see what they chose. Euan O'Sullivan, President & CEO, explains his choice: "The word which sums up Pride month for me is community; celebrating the LGBTQ+ community around us, recognising their hard won rights and freedoms, and working everyday towards creating an ever more inclusive environment at LGC." #ScienceforaSaferWorld Lee Maw BRUNO ROSSI Helen Watson Bharathi Anekella Julie Cormack (FCIPD) Kenneth Yoon Manjeet Aujla Sanjeev Rana Marcus Kaeller

LGC Petaluma engages the scientists of tomorrow Recently, Kirk Dossat, Sarah Eggert and Julie Vold from our Petaluma team spoke with over 50 students at Petaluma High School, about our work here at LGC and what a career in science is like. The session was for Honors Environmental Science Students (aged 17-18 years old) as part of their ‘careers / futures option’ project. Kirk, Sarah and Julie discussed topics: ➡ Who are LGC, what do we do and how do we deliver Science for a Safer World; ➡ What oligonucleotides are - and how they are advancing various fields of science; ➡ A little background on their own personal career journeys; ➡ Some of the skills and qualifications required to work in our industry; ➡ What a ‘typical day’ at LGC, Petaluma looks like. We were delighted to be invited and have received some great feedback from students and teachers – and have hopefully helped inspire the next generation of scientists! #ScienceforaSaferWorld

Ahead of the French Open final today, Carlos Alcaraz was interviewed in Marca earlier this week asking him what he carries onto court. As well as the essentials such as rackets, shoes and wristbands, the two-time major champion carries Informed Sport certified Crown Sport Nutrition bars. Last year he won on the grass at Wimbledon and I am looking forward to see if he can also do it on the clay. #InformedSport #Wetestyoutrust #rolandgarros https://lnkd.in/evEAcVZE
La pregunta que todos se hacen, ¿qué lleva Carlos Alcaraz en sus bolsas?
