🚶♂️🌏 'Walk the World Challenge': LGC colleagues are stepping into action 🌍🚶♀️ As we near the end of week two of our 'Walk the World Challenge', the enthusiasm from our colleagues around the world has been inspiring. Over the last two weeks, LGC colleagues have collectively walked over 40 million steps! This global event has united our teams from the US, UK, Germany, Netherlands, India, and beyond, as we share our journeys through walks, strolls, and runs. We have received photos showcasing some breath-taking locations from every corner of the world. Here are just a few snapshots of the incredible places we've explored together during this challenge. As part of this initiative, LGC is releasing £2,000 each week, as we hit our step targets. Here’s how our steps are making a difference: - £2,000 could provide essential family planning and maternal health medical equipment and supplies to a health facility in Somalia for 2 months. - £2,000 could establish and operate two Child Protection Mobile Child Friendly Spaces in targeted communities in Ukraine. These spaces, managed by Save the Children UK travel between remote communities to identify and support vulnerable children in emergencies. We're raising money for our corporate charity partner, @Save the Children UK by stepping into action and walking for our wellbeing! Over the next 6 weeks, we will be actively encouraging our LGC colleagues to collectively walk as many steps as possible, whether at work or play, from the commute to and from work, to the dash to the school gates and home again. Every step matters, whether it's through walking, running or working out, each and every step counts towards our collective target. LGC will contribute £15k at the conclusion of the campaign to further support this cause.
