It makes our day when we see posts like this! Thanks Elin 💕
For a long time, I believed that making an impact at work meant changing careers 🌳. Being in tech proved me wrong. BorrowMyDoggy is one of my favourite companies 🐕. It's a platform that connects dog owners with verified local borrowers for walks and care. I've seen friends experience immense joy and build stronger community connections through this service 🥰 At Griffin, I'm excited to speak with companies making money more accessible to people. Some of these companies work to: 𝟭. 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 🫶🏼 I’ve met fintechs providing financial services to people left behind by high street banks. They offer savings accounts and small credit lines, often used to cover health & essential needs 🏥 These fintechs innovate by closely understanding their customers & developing tailored products for their needs (and constraints). For example, offering credit lines enhanced with alternative credit assessment methods, like on-time payment of rent and utility bills. 𝟮. 𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘀𝗮𝘃𝗲 & 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 💪🏼 In a cost of living crisis, I’ve engaged with fintechs that help employers support their workers to save money, access earned wages early and providing engaging materials on money management. 𝟯. 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵 🏪 SMEs are the backbone of the economy but often struggle to access credit from traditional banks to manage cash flow - often made worse by late customer payments 😢 We're partnering with fintechs that include alternative data from accounting systems, e-commerce platforms, and payment partners to make better lending decisions. This drives faster and efficient lending decisions - improving the financial health of businesses 🫀 These are just some fintechs creating a strong social impact. Would love to hear of others! p.s.
