🎢 Picture this: Your main ride has gone down due to a mechanical fault and it's going to take a few hours to get it back up and running. How do you communicate this to your guests? Relying on digital signage can be difficult, and often leads to frustration as guests who have made the walk over to the ride are met with disappointment. Instead, imagine you have a mobile app platform complete with real-time updates and wait times for rides. Your guests are informed and feel more in control of their day to your park. With a backend content management system powering your mobile app, you can make changes to your park's digital map, ride times and more in seconds. Your content will go out to your guests and no one's left out of the loop!

Anticipating big crowds this summer? How can you improve your attractions' on-the-ground efficiency to keep guests flowing smoothly around your park? ☀ Theme park crowding is often caused by popular rides being clustered together, ride downtime pushing guests away from certain areas, busy lunch rushes around your restaurants, or confusing layouts causing bottlenecks. There are a few things you can do to get around these problems: Think tactically around your location planning - ride placement is key to crowd control. Aim to separate your ‘hero’ rides and rides in the same category for maximum distribution. Invest in real-time wait updates. Advertising waiting times, either using a mobile app or screens around the park, helps people to make informed choices. Waiting times are the currency that people use to decide which rides to wait for. Keep up your communication. If you know that certain areas of your park get busy at specific times of day, you can communicate this to guests via digital signage, through your companion app or via your experience platform. Understanding your guest flow comes down to constant monitoring and adjustment. A mobile app platform with backend data analytics can give you the insights you need to make data-driven improvements to your park. These strategies were developed by our good friend and attraction efficiency expert Neil Wilson. Read the full article on our blog. #mobileapps #guestexperience #themeparks

Is it getting hot, or is it just our interactive heatmaps? 🥵 Monitoring your guests while they're on-site can often be a blind spot. But, your marketing team already use heat maps to monitor users online, so why can't you apply the same powerful technology to the on-site experience to deepen your understanding of the guest journey? The Attractions.io core platform collects constant guest behavioural data to visualise your guest flow and identify peak times for your rides or themed areas. Everything's real time and you can filter by date and time to compare seasonality. Leverage the data you need to make persuasive business cases, redistribute staff, and plan large events. There's nothing more frustrating than opening an app and immediately running into a screen saying "Updates in progress". 😡 Your guests want to use your attraction's mobile app to help them navigate, keep them in the loop with ride wait times, and make food orders on the go - when there's fun to be had, they haven't got time to wait for updates. With our platform, you can publish content directly from the control panel and your mobile app will automatically update seamlessly in the background. All while using minimal data. No disruptions, no big data bills.

Are you implementing personalised touchpoints? Marketing is about delivering the right message, to the right person, in the right format, at the right time. Traditionally, the online giants with their wealth of customer data have enjoyed the most success in launching these hyper-targeted campaigns. Nowadays, mobile app platforms enable real-world experiences like your attraction, to adopt a similarly personalised strategy. Personalisation drives revenue in four key ways: It helps you build meaningful connections with your guests It's more likely to resonate with a specific guest's preferences  It helps guests cut through the advertising noise It speaks to a guest's position in the sales funnel and anticipates their needs Your marketers are well-positioned to improve conversion and lifetime customer value, resulting in higher revenue creation and higher levels of guest satisfaction. You can make this happen at your attraction by investing in a mobile app platform, allowing you to target guests based on rich behavioural data. If you're on the hunt for a consolidated digital experience at your attraction, reach out to us today. #mobileapps #digitalexperience #data
