It's always inspiring to see the diverse range of wildlife that our guide walls and tunnel systems have protected over the years. Most recently that has extended to the incredible efforts of the Berkshire, Buckinghamshire & Oxfordshire Wildlife Trust (BBOWT), who have adapted our Stop Channel and Guide Wall to create a haven for a species of snake that's endangered in the UK. Bike Week 2024 shines a spotlight on the incredible benefits of cycling, from protecting the environment to boosting mental health. In celebration of this event, ACO proudly presents its Cycle Safety White Paper. Safety is crucial for encouraging more people to cycle. Our research found that 23% of British cyclists feel unsafe in their local city, compared to less than 9% in other European nations. Our white paper provides an in-depth analysis of public opinions on cycle safety in the UK versus other top cycling countries in Europe.
