【AmCham 2024 Cancer Summit】 Drawing inspiration from the visionary Cancer Moonshot initiatives spearheaded by the U.S., AmCham's 2024 Cancer Summit provided a vital platform for experts to share their experiences. Government officials, business academia, and patient groups gathered to discuss the establishment of a more comprehensive Cancer Drugs Fund (CDF) for Taiwan, focusing on funding mechanisms, scope, timeline, and execution guidelines.   The Chamber was also honored to have the AIT Director Raymond Greene, Minister Without Portfolio Chen Shih-Chung, MOHW Deputy Minister Lin Ching-Yi, Academician Yang Pan-Chyr, NHIA Deputy DG Parng I-Ming, and other government officials, experts, and patient group members join us as forum speakers and panelists.   We would also like to extend our gratitude to our supportive sponsors from AmCham's Pharmaceutical Committee: Amgen, AstraZeneca, MSD, and Johnson & Johnson. AmCham welcomes Raymond Greene, the new Director of the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT), back to Taiwan. Director Greene participated in many AmCham events during his previous posting as Deputy AIT Director between 2018 and 2021. We are glad to continue our collaboration with the AIT and Director Greene and look forward to advancing the U.S.-Taiwan relationship and economic partnership together! 🤝

AmCham recently met with delegates from the Southern States Congress led by Oklahoma Speaker-Designate Kyle Hilbert. The Chamber exchanged views with leaders from Oklahoma, Mississippi, Texas, Louisiana state congress members and enjoyed the opportunity to have an open discussion on many topics. As Taiwan remains a critical partner to the U.S., AmCham is therefore pleased to share our insights and serve as a bridge between the two partners.🤝
