7/G Movie Review : A Haunted House of Clichés

7/G Movie Synopsis: A young family moves into their new apartment, 7/G, only to face terrifying paranormal activities. As supernatural forces threaten their dream home, Varsha must confront the spirits to protect her family. Will they overcome the haunting, or be forced to abandon their new residence?

7/G Movie Review: Director Haroon Rasheed attempts to breathe new life into the horror genre by setting 7/G in a modern urban landscape. The movie combines witchcraft, spurned love, and vengeful spirits, giving a new twist to the haunted house theme. But it doesn’t hold up well, getting tangled in clichés and obvious plot turns.

The film’s characters, especially the males, border on caricature. The dialogues are so forced, it's tough to get into the story. The whole urban horror and dual revenge thing is a little different, but it still goes down the same old road.

Sonia Agarwal brings depth to her role, despite a familiar backstory. Smruthi Venkat also delivers a compelling performance as Varsha. The villain doesn’t fit at all. Siddharth Vipin pulls off acting and music pretty well.

7/G shows that a new setting alone won't save a genre in desperate need of fresh ideas.
