If you're not asking "what's in it for them", you're doing it wrong❗️ One of the biggest misconceptions in partnerships is the importance of revenue share. I've supported a lot of newcomers to the partnerships space over the years and the question about revenue share always comes up. I can't blame them, I had the same mindset when I was starting my career in partnerships Revenue share is more of a nice to have, than a need to have. Consider it one of the many tools in your toolbox to drive partner engagement. It's really only essential to around 20% of your partners. The key to successful partnerships is asking yourself "What's in it for them". Speak to your partners regularly to understand their goals and needs, and ensure your partnership delivers tangible benefits. Understanding your partners' true goals and needs is key to successful partnerships, instead of high commissions that eat up your CAC, create benefits that align with your mutual goals. What most partners want: 🎁 New Referrals 🏋🏻 Enablement 🎗️ Expanding their offering Partnerships thrive when both sides work together to meet each other's needs.
