This tag's purpose is to mark the questions that deal with information on how/why magic works based on magical laws of specific universe(s)/work(s).
In other words:
"Why does this magical law have exception X?" is a magical-theory question.
"Why does this spell work in a specific way?" is a magical-theory question.
"What does this spell do in this book?" is a magic question because it merely asks for observational answer, not to back it up with the way magic works in a book overall.
"This is a question about some work that involves magic" - magic tag.
