I'm not sure about 5e but some OSR(Old School Renaissance) games such as ACK(Adventurer Conqueror King) it is something to be done. Like a wizard builds a dungeon filled with treasure which attracts monsters and then they go in or send adventurers to harvest monster parts so if you are interested in that concept that may be worth looking into.
I was quoting from Enlightened Grimoire as I did not have access to my book drive. I'll edit it as soon as I'll get access to my books though the one I quoted appears to lack the type of damage it causes so I'll check the Verbana book.
While I do not think the question is broad enough to vote to close I feel like being given more specifics on what kind of enemies the campaign entails as well as your archetype could help narrow down the answer you get. For example Emissary’s Emboldening feat is particularly useful in a campaign where fear effects are common but may prove to be useless otherwise. Then there are archetype exclusive spells. For example if you have school savant archetype then you could use school familiar feat.
