Have you considered that, rather than unrelated trap-phobia, NPC-phobia, and mimic-phobia (and who knows what "-phobia" you'll trip over next), there may be some underlying factor leading your players to mistrust you (or your adventure/world), which then manifests as a "phobia of the week"? | |

Each question that gives specific, actionable answer(s) helped me a lot improving my design and encounter planning and execution, especially the trap and NPC question. I've hit another problem with mimic-like, and general suggestion from both question seem to be less useful in this case. | |
