Looks like Z Flip 6 and Z Fold 6 could be equipped with 8s Gen 3 chipset, now that Qualcomm has just announced it. 😙

I wonder whether if broken Z series devices can trade in or not

From my experience, they are unlikely to accept spoilt LCD, not sure for other types of damages. U can try to mock trade in on Samsung's website.

This is a downgraded version of 8 Gen 3, not upgrade in case you haven't realized yet...

This downgraded version is to enable non flagship devices to get flagship features like AI and stuff, it is NOT a better chip, you'll have to wait for SD 9 or SD 8 Gen 4 for that...

Hey, thanks for clarifying. 😄 Looks like the gap between the s and regular variants are closing up.

Hope that Qualcomm will release a plus variant, before Jul so that it's in time for the Z Flip and Fold models to get the upgraded 8 Gen 3 chip.

Yup for my Z Fold 3, I bought additional 1 year Care+. Alr experienced wifi issue last year after updating software update, but got the LCD (both inner and outer) replaced for free, since covered under warranty.

But from Day 1, I alr know that foldables won't last as long as rigid phones. So this point, every foldable owners have to bear that in mind.
