Questions tagged [majorana-particle]
For questions regarding usage of Majorana particles for quantum computation. A Majorana fermion, also referred to as a Majorana particle, is a fermion that is its own antiparticle. They were hypothesized by Ettore Majorana in 1937. The term is sometimes used in opposition to a Dirac fermion, which describes fermions that are not their own antiparticles.

Majorana Quantum Error Correcting Code
I am looking at a paper that consists of a stabilizer code that has only one stabilizer $$-c_1c_2c_3c_4$$. Here $$c_i$$ denote the hermitian majorana modes.
By the Jordan Wigner Transform the ...

If Majorana qubits are analogous to surface codes, why do the diagrams use lines instead of squares?
If you go to some random Majorana paper or talk, you will find a diagram like this one. Note that the diagram is using lines. Making the lines longer should exponentially increase the error ...
