A sequence of integers between 0 and 9 is as follows:
5, 8, 1, 0, 1, 8, 6, 2, 4, ?
What is the next term?
Hint:
How familiar are you with modular arithmetic?
Well I have an Idea but I'm not sure if this is correct:
we have 5 +3 8 -7 1 -1 0 +1 1 +7 8 -2 6 -4 2 +2 4
If we now grab the italic numbers we have:
+3-7-1+1+7-2-4+2 = -1
If we take the row:
5, 8, 1, 0, 1, 8, 6, 2, 4, and add this -1 we get the number 3
The next term is 8
Take 0 as middle number and compare left side and right side:
7,3,1,5,8,1,0,1,8,6,2,4, 8
0
