Our QA & Localization team members traveled to Amsterdam to attend the Game Quality Forum Global 2024! REDs took part in workshops and panel discussions, gaining insights from across the industry. 💡 I was honored to participate in two panels as a speaker and talk about how we in CD PROJEKT RED approach localization and its challenges. Can’t wait to attend GQF next year! — Alexander Radkevich,  Expert Localization Project Manager 💡 GQF is a great place to meet people from the game localization industry and see what problems they face and how they solve them. For LQA, when we’re at the stage of browsing for vendors, this is an invaluable opportunity to meet and talk with them in person. – Monika Zaleska, Localization QA Analyst 💡 Games Quality Forum showcased best practices and the latest trends, especially in automation and AI, now a hot topic, which are coming strong in the game industry, transforming QA processes and automated audio generation. Overall, it was an enriching experience in many aspects. — Waldemar Piekarski, Localization Project Manager. Game Quality Forum, thanks for having us! #insideRED #CDPR

Our team came back from Prague with new connections, knowledge, and, most importantly, excellent impressions from Unreal Fest! 💬 “I had a really great time discussing and sharing our experience with the transition to Unreal Engine with people across different industries, from architecture and movies to game dev. It was my pleasure to share some of the lessons we learned while building our technology on top of the engine, but the coolest thing about our collaboration with Epic is that, so far, much of what we’ve done will be available to many other developers. Changes around performance, RenderThread, and Decoupling were well-received by the team at Epic, and are likely to improve the experience of many others in the near future. We showed that we are actively shaping Unreal Engine, and our partnership is one that creates mutual benefits — not to mention, we are advocating for bigger and better games with Unreal,” said our Senior Engineer, Core, Jarosław Tomasz Rudzki. See you next year, Unreal Fest! #insideRED #RED #CDPR

What brings REDs together? Games! Both at work, and beyond. 🎮 Game development is a passion, so it’s no surprise you can find REDs engaging in it even outside of the office. A group of our devs recently met at Pixel Heaven Festival, and one them shared what drove him to attend: 💬 “This year marked my fifth time attending Pixel Heaven Festival, an event that brings together people who share a passion for classic retro games. One of the main reasons I keep coming back is the opportunity to meet more enthusiasts like myself who have a deep love for old-school games and can talk all about common interests like this one, even after a day of work in game dev. The spirit of the event is truly unique and unlike anything else I've experienced,” said our Level Designer Bartlomiej Pyrko. #insideRED #RED #CDPR #gamedev
