Need something for your weekend podcast listening? Our producer Emily talks to the Player Engage podcast about studio culture and psychological safety, two things that are very important to us.
Peter Drucker said*, "Culture—no matter how defined—is singularly persistent." He means it's always there, whether you think about it or not. If you're not actively engaged in developing and fostering the culture you want, then your team's culture is going to be shaped by unexpected forces. Sometimes it turns out great and sometimes it turns out poorly.
* there is a footnote because Drucker is often misattributed to the quote, "Culture eats strategy for breakfast." It's far catchier and edgier, and maybe it works for your team's culture. But if you don't know your team's culture and throw a quote like that around, then you may not be creating psychological safety.
