Infinity problem: Why is gravity $g=0$ zero at the center of Earth if according to Newton gravity formula $g=GM/R^2$? [duplicate]

It is said that value of $g=0$ at the centre of the Earth. $g$ is calculated using the formula $$ g=G*M/R^2.$$ When $R = 0$, $g$ approaches infinity. I have two ...

Why does gravity decrease as we go down into the Earth? [duplicate]

We all know that gravity decreases as the distance between the two increases. Hence $$ F = G \frac{Mm}{r^2}. $$ Hence the acceleration due to gravity $$ g =\frac{F}{m}= G \frac{M}{r^2} $$ ...
