Commandeering[]

Commandeer (links) and Commandeering (links) were used in Star Trek, however, I do not believe the term to be synonymous with hijacking. Commandeering is, by definition, "[to] officially take possession or control of (something), especially for military purposes," a difference with a distinction. –Gvsualan (talk) 13:11, 1 February 2023 (UTC)

As one with the actual or perceived authority to do so, not as an outsider with questionable or (potentially) hostile purposes. Granted,it may look different depending on who you ask, or appear to be the one while actually being the other. --LauraCC (talk) 15:42, 8 February 2023 (UTC)
