Orphan pages[]

Please remember that, when creating new articles, that you ensure that they're not orphans. When you created loudmouth, you didn't bother linking to it from any other pages, so it was orphaned. -- Sulfur (talk) 15:10, 6 January 2024 (UTC)

Oops. Sorry. --LauraCC (talk) 15:13, 6 January 2024 (UTC)

External linking[]

Please make sure to remove the http:// or https:// from URLs when using {{el}}. For example, write {{el|obituaries.neptunesociety.com/obituaries/plantation-fl/11688232}}, not {{el|https://obituaries.neptunesociety.com/obituaries/plantation-fl/11688232}}. Using the latter syntax breaks the link, as can be seen here. 🖖 Mr. Starfleet Command (talk • contribs) 16:59, 5 March 2024 (UTC)

Okay. --LauraCC (talk) 17:02, 5 March 2024 (UTC)

Image licenses[]

A few reminders:

  1. Images from Star Trek productions must use the {{image star trek}} tag.
  2. Images where you add {{image fairuse}} MUST include an owner notation and a source citation and it should include a rationale as well.

For example, I've come across these three images this morning that you uploaded with no source/owner information: Image 1, Image 2, and Image 3

In short, using {{image fairuse}} by itself is insufficient. You need to fill out the details. -- Sulfur (talk) 12:34, 2 May 2024 (UTC)

Thanks. The two recent ones were my mistake. The other three, I didn't know who created them at the time (might have been cited on the original site, but I didn't see it.) --LauraCC (talk) 12:36, 2 May 2024 (UTC)

Those three images need to mention the source too. That can help other people figure out the owners. If we don't know the specific owner/photographer, we can reference the source site as the likely owner. -- Sulfur (talk) 14:19, 2 May 2024 (UTC)

I tried looking on my computer to see if it saved any links I'd clicked on when searching for these, but I found nothing. So I could just cite any page I found them on, or what? I honestly don't remember what website I downloaded these from. -LauraCC (talk) 14:24, 2 May 2024 (UTC)
You could try running an image search. 🖖 Mr. Starfleet Command (talk • contribs) 14:29, 2 May 2024 (UTC)

I did do that. (I've used it before and managed to identify a painting print I own. :) ) It's used in multiple places, but I dunno where I found it that long ago.

Upcoming productions[]

When you remove an item from Upcoming productions, please *make sure* you *move* the item(s) to the "year (production)" page... don't just delete it. -- Thanks. -- Renegade54 (talk) 20:31, 3 May 2024 (UTC)

Oops. I know that...I guess I got distracted by something else. --LauraCC (talk) 20:37, 3 May 2024 (UTC)

Upcoming productions[]

If you edit the Upcoming productions page, please MAKE SURE you move the line items to the correct "year (production)" page, DON'T JUST DELETE them. Otherwise, just leave the old items and one of us will take care of moving them eventually (probably me). Thanks. -- Renegade54 (talk) 17:08, 2 July 2024 (UTC)

Sorry, I moved them to the day page and forgot the year. -LauraCC (talk) 17:09, 2 July 2024 (UTC)
