A rabbit, sometimes called a bunny rabbit, was a type of mammal native to the planet Earth. It was distinguished by long ears, long hind legs for jumping, and a short, fluffy tail. (VOY: "Death Wish")

In 1986 at the Feinberg's Loan and Pawn in San Francisco, the image of a rabbit could be seen as part of the artwork on a tapestry hanging on the wall next to the stairs. (Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home)

In 2000, there was a stuffed rabbit at the bookstore in Portage Creek, Indiana. (VOY: "11:59")

In 2022 Khan Noonien Singh had a drawing depicting a rabbit and a cow near a house, (SNW: "Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow")

In 2259 of the alternate reality, Lucille Harewood had a stuffed toy rabbit. (Star Trek Into Darkness)

That same year in the prime universe, when the crew of the USS Enterprise was trapped in a musical reality due to a quantum uncertainty field from a subspace fold; La'an Noonien-Singh was wondering if the changing laws of physics would cause them to magically "poof into bunnies." Joseph M'Benga then said he would prefer not to turn into a bunny. Spock then tells them that he doubts everyone would transform into bunnies. (SNW: "Subspace Rhapsody")

In 2365 during an encounter with the Ferengi, William T. Riker told Jean-Luc Picard that "we're all here – anxiously waiting for you to pull another rabbit out of your hat.", referring to a magician's trick. Ezri Dax used the same expression in 2375 on AR-558. That same year, Miles O'Brien twisted the expression, saying to Dr. Julian Bashir, "You're not going to pull a rabbit out of your medkit." He was referring to Bashir's failure to find a cure for the morphogenic virus. (TNG: "Peak Performance"; DS9: "The Siege of AR-558", "Tacking Into the Wind")

In 2367, two science officers replicated a stuffed rabbit for their son. (TNG: "Data's Day")

In 2372 in Quark's on Deep Space 9, Dr. Bashir pulled a piece of latinum from Quark's ear, a trick taught to him by Jadzia Dax, he told Kira Nerys that "next time I want to pull a rabbit out of his ear." (DS9: "Rejoined")
