The Majalan combat cruiser was a type of small warship fielded by the dissident Majalan colony on Prospect VII in the 23rd century. (SNW: "Lift Us Where Suffering Cannot Reach")

History[]

In 2259, the Prospect VII colonists dispatched a combat cruiser in an attempt to save the new First Servant from being sacrificed on Majalis. The USS Enterprise, responding to the distress call sent by the First Servant's shuttle, accidentally inflicted crippling damage on the cruiser and caused it to crash on a nearby moon. An away team subsequently found that the crew had evacuated and wiped their data banks to hide their true intentions, though a defaced oath coin and a neural dampener were recovered from the wreckage.

The colonists later sent another combat cruiser after the First Servant. With the collaboration of Elder Gamal, the cruiser appeared to beam the First Servant directly off an Enterprise transporter pad, before attempting to flee. The Enterprise locked a tractor beam on the cruiser, which was destroyed when it engaged its warp drive anyway. However, this action was in fact a feint, as Gamal had actually beamed the First Servant to a cargo container elsewhere on the Enterprise. (SNW: "Lift Us Where Suffering Cannot Reach")

Technical data[]

The cruiser's low technology level reflected the limited resources available to Prospect VII. It possessed turret-mounted phasers and deflector shields, though it posed no threat to a Federation Constitution-class starship and could not withstand even a minimum-powered phaser blast from the latter. The ship was equipped with several forward-mounted grapplers for capturing other ships, as well as transporters. It stored information on removable data chips.
