About

In August, I'll be an assistant professor at Seton Hall University. Previously, I was a postdoc at McMaster University, National Taiwan University, and the University of Oregon. I finished my PhD at Stanford in 2018, advised by Robert Bryant and Rick Schoen.

My research is in differential geometry and geometric analysis. I mostly think about minimal surfaces and calibrated geometry, but I've also done work on problems in special holonomy, gauge theory, and mean curvature flow.

My favorite parts of math arise from the geometric aspects of calculus. I like the algebraic and analytic machinery of geometry and topology. I learn best from concrete examples, explicit calculations, and relating modern ideas to their classical counterparts.
