My real interest for math picked up around studying QM, which I'm ironically not terribly well versed in. I still know the basics though, and the more complex math intrigued me, so I started off my learning of calculus from the mutlivariable form (just as the historic progression occured, so I guess that's good luck). I soon found the much simpler single variable form and then proceeded to study complex analysis, differential geometry, combinatorics, and various other smaller topics like Laplace Transforms, differential equations, Fourier Series, etc. I should be able to answer basic questions about vector spaces and manifolds in addition to any of those listed above, but I'm far from the world's best teacher or smartest man. I'm still pretty young, however, and have yet to go to college, so I hope to gain more knowledge and skill there. Hopefully I can be useful to this site, just as this site has proven its usefulness to me. Sorry for the overload of commas in that paragraph.
