The degree to which a liquid is free of cloudiness. This is often achieved with the use of finings or cold-crashing.

Clarity is a quality desired by many homebrewers as it plays an important role in the perception of beer, wine, and mead. Finings (irish moss, gelatin, etc.) are frequently used to collect and remove particulate matter from the product. Chilling (cold-crashing) can produce a similar effect.
