We feel proud of our colleagues who took part in Johnson Electric's first-ever Dragon Boat Race held in Jiangmen China in early June. 5 Teams from Jiangmen, Shajing, and Hong Kong showcased their dedication to health and teamwork. The teams trained for approximately two months in their sites. The Dragon Boat Race winners were presented with their well-deserved awards by our CEO and senior management. JE Engineer named Top 10 for “Female Engineer of the Year” in Serbia We are proud to share that Jovana Stanojevic our Senior Process Engineer of Johnson Electric is named the Top 10 finalists for the “Female Engineer of the Year” 2024 in Serbia! Jovana’s dedication and passion for engineering have made her a standout in her field, inspiring those around her and paving the way for future women in STEM. This initiative has been launched by the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, Siemens Serbia, and the association “Female Engineer of the Year,” which aims to inspire young women, especially high school students, to consider careers in STEM space. At Johnson Electric, we believe in cultivating a career environment to encourage females to explore and go beyond in the workplace of Diversity and Inclusion. We are dedicated to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace for all our employees across the globe. Our comprehensive three-step health and safety program empowers every employee to actively detect, report, and address potential safety issues, including near-misses and on-site hazards. The launch of our “Healthy@JE” wellbeing initiative has introduced a range of outstanding programs aimed at enhancing the physical and mental health of our staff. We’re pleased to report that our Lost Time Accident (LTA) rate and Recordable Injuries (REC) rate are well below the industry’s average*.   Additionally, we’re participating in Europe’s Safety Agency EU-OSHA “Healthy Workplaces Campaign,” advocating for increased safety awareness at work, guided by 2023-2035 theme “Safe and healthy work in the digital age”. We extend our commitment beyond just today, marking the entire month of June as our Safety and Wellbeing month. Safety and well-being are ingrained in JE’s culture. At JE, we promise to protect the environment for future generations. On Saturday, March 23rd, 2024, we will be participating in Earth Hour. This global initiative encourages everyone to switch off non-essential lights and appliances for one hour at 8:30 pm (local time). By doing so, we hope to raise awareness about climate change and energy conservation.   We are proud to update you that our dedication to renewable energy has doubled this year, reaching an impressive 42% usage. We already reached and exceeded our goal of reducing carbon emissions by 42% by 2023. Moving forward, we are setting new targets for reducing Scope 1, 2, and 3 carbon emissions in line with the Science Based Targets Initiative. Let’s make Earth Hour more than just a symbolic gesture.
