Was moving to Norway a good thing? Absolutely! :) Together with my family, we made the bold decision to move to Norway and join team EVOY. It was a choice that could have easily gone the other way—it was daunting, stepping into the unknown, leaving behind our friends and family, and disconnecting from everything familiar. But the thought of regretting not taking this chance was even scarier. So, we took the leap. In our first five months living in Florø, Norway, we've immersed ourselves in a new culture, made many new friends, explored breathtaking nature, started learning a new language, and, most importantly, created timeless memories. This personal journey mirrors the path EVOY is taking. Starting from scratch, daring to develop a product for an unknown market, and creating irresistible boating solutions. Just as the automotive industry took nearly two decades to pave the way for electric cars, the marine industry is now on the verge of electrification, and EVOY is leading the charge. And honestly, I would highly recommend it, and I believe anyone can benefit from embracing such an adventure at least once in their life. Disconnect and explore the world. Making memories and products that can change the world! 

Just crossed the finish line of my 10th Honolulu Marathon in a row! This journey taught me that consistency, perseverance, and dedication are key to achieving greatness in life and work. I learned a lot about preparation from a bunch of Englishmen jumping off tall buildings. Storror is a parkour collective based out of England; they're one of the best-known crews worldwide, with over 5 million subscribers on YouTube. They've done stunt work on movies with directors like Michael Bay. Just watch the attached 5-minute compilation from their film Roof Culture Asia and you'll get an idea how absurd these athletes are. But every single one of them has spent years and years doing this sport in preparation for each of these shots. Each spot is scrupulously scouted and prepared, with obstacles removed, tape set up, shots planned ahead of time. Each gap is carefully rehearsed in a controlled environment, over and over. Every run-up, every foot or hand placement, is the difference between success or failure. And failure is simply not an option when you're 20 stories up. Even for smaller, less death-defying shots, the thing that makes Storror great is doing the basics over and over and over again. It's a key -- and one I'm still struggling with. One of the biggest things Ed Bardwell has done for my career is show me the importance of preparation. I've always been a bit of a procrastinator; it's a tough tendency to overcome. But I'm better when I'm prepared, even though organization doesn't come naturally. So I'll keep working at it. Because those gaps aren't going to jump themselves.

🌊 Discovering Friendship, Leadership and Teamwork: Insights from Sailing Christian Radich to Arendal 🌊   I eagerly dive into Arendalsuka, immersing myself in learning, connecting with fellow minds, and engaging in global and local issues. But this year was different. I set sail for the event, stepping onto the Christian Radich with its rich history and skilled crew.   When Jørn Kristian Stensby and I got the chance to sail and be part of the crew on Christian Radich to Arendal, we jumped at it. Beyond personal growth, we found friendships and hidden gems of leadership and teamwork beneath the waves. Life on a sailboat is like a microcosm of a workplace – centered around people, leadership, and teamwork aimed at achieving a common goal.   When arriving in Arendal I started reflecting on how it was possible to get to know people so quickly, be so tolerant to each other (you sleep together with over 50 strangers in the same room below deck) and how we achieve so much together on such a short time. How can we learn from this in our work life?   Sharing one of many strong reflections after this sail trip:   🔹 People's Stories and passion Trump Titles: In the corporate world, titles often take center stage, overshadowing the people behind them. But on the boat, we tossed aside titles and embraced each other's passion and stories. Diving into the Cold: A Journey of Discovery with Superhuman Leigh Ewin Last week, I had the chance to experience the ultimate cold exposure in Espoo in Finland, under the guidance of Leigh Ewin, a renowned expert in the field. It wasn't just an exercise in enduring cold temperatures; it was an insightful exploration into breathing, mental resilience, and self-awareness. The Challenge: Facing just above zero degree water temperatures in -5 degree weather. Leigh taught me effective breathing techniques that not only prepared my body for the shock but also helped center my mind for the challenge ahead. Surprisingly, I managed to stay submerged in the frigid waters for over three minutes. My previous best was just over thirty seconds. This experience underscored a powerful lesson about the capabilities of the human mind and body, revealing that our limits are often not as fixed as we might think. This experience highlighted broader life lessons — the importance of mental strength and resilience, and that the support and guidance of a knowledgeable mentor can make a profound impact on your ability to push way beyond your perceived boundaries. Just as mastering my mind helped me overcome the challenge of the cold waters, adopting a mindset of calm determination can help navigate through life's challenges. My session with Leigh in the icy waters of Finland was a transformative experience. It served as a reminder that with the right mindset, preparation and guidance, we can extend our limits far beyond what we might have previously imagined.
