With the huge amount of gaps that operating system can have nowadays, your computer is never truly safe. Heimdal Security is a tool to help you feel more relaxed when it comes to protecting your device against potential attacks or leaks that may compromise your privacy.

This program makes sure that almost all of your installed tools are well protected by keeping them up to date. That way, you’ll never have to worry about updating elements like Java, Adobe Air or players such as VLC Player.

The interface is very simple and you can see your system’s vulnerability level from the get-go. A colorful meter tells you if you need to revise your software. In the ‘software’ menu, you can also view the current state of all the tools in charge of protecting your PC, and from here you can see their state of vulnerability. A green signal means it’s updated to the latest version and a red signal means there’s an update that could eliminate problems.

The app also offers statistic charts to show you the problems that each program could potentially suffer from. That way you can decide if downloading the next version is worth it or if you should just do it some other time.
