I have a Power A Spectra Enhanced Wired Controller for XBOX One:

Screenshot of the controller.

My snap-lock detachable cable broke and I'm having trouble finding a replacement. I've searched Amazon and Google but so far I've turned up nothing.

Does anyone have an idea on where I can find a replacement cable, or should I just buy a new controller?

  • Welcome, again, to the Arqade! You could improve this question by including images of your broken component, along with a link to where you initially purchased the controller (if applicable) and which console the controller is for. I'll do my best to assist you with that momentarily. Finally, if you have some time, please take a moment to complete the tour. Commented Sep 20, 2021 at 15:46
  • It turns out, others have had this problem and the recommended course of action is to reach out to PowerA support. Commented Sep 20, 2021 at 15:51

It's not entirely an answer to the question, but for future reference in my case I was able to take an old HTC micro USB cable I had and carve off some of the plastic with a knife. I can't recommend trying this at home, but I can confirm that after doing this the controller works fine when connected to my Linux desktop PC running Fedora, on which I used Steam to check that the controller works.

So, there doesn't really seem to be anything special about the bundled cable other than that it has the right shape.
