In partnership with UNDO, Carbonx Climate hosted an intimate dinner at Farmacy Restaurant in London last week. Amid a beautiful green setting, we gathered colleagues from multiple industries dedicated to scaling carbon removal. Jim Mann, UNDO CEO and Founder, and Megan Hunold, Head of Partnerships at Carbonx kicked off the evening with the theme of building a business case for carbon removal. Jim’s perspective as the founder of an Enhanced Rock Weathering project highlighted how buyers are key to scaling this critical industry. The dinner was designed to foster relationship-building, allowing us to share and learn from one another. We hope you left inspired and with new contacts and resources! Events like these reinforce the importance of collaboration and innovation in driving sustainable solutions. A warm thank you to all the guests who joined and contributed to a very colourful and enjoyable evening! We hope you all had an inspiring and productive London Climate Action Week. #LCAW2024 #ClimateAction #CarbonRemoval #Sustainability #UNDOCarbon #Carbonx #LondonClimateWeek #Collaboration #CDRbuyers

A new Carbon #UnboundShowcase for your feed. Here’s Paolo Piffaretti, Founder & CEO of Carbonx Climate, to guide us through the complexities of CDR #procurement. Carbonx connects companies with high-quality carbon removal projects, but how do they ensure quality and navigate the CDR market? Overcoming Challenges for Buyers: 🔹 Lack of policy enforcement makes CDR voluntary. 🔹 Transparency is needed to inform decision-making. Carbonx's Approach: 🔹 Curates portfolios with optimal resource allocation and strict project assessments. 🔹 Manages carbon credit risks for reliable, high-integrity credits. Advice for CDR Entrepreneurs: 🔹 Focus on Corporate Venture Capital (CVC) for long-term partnerships. 🔹 Prioritize transparency to build trust with potential buyers. Scaling CDR by 2030? 🔹 More financing beyond initial equity rounds is crucial. 🔹 Public-private partnerships and bankable offtake agreements are key. We value the community’s unique perspective on the #carbondioxideremoval space. We'd love to hear from you if you have a different take. Email marketing@unboundsummits.com or share your thoughts in the comments to be a part of a future #UnboundShowcase! 🌏 Unbound Summits connect innovators and accelerate climate action.
