Based on a recent survey by SAP & ASUG survey, there was a 80 percent satisfaction with SAP Integration Suite. 😀 However, we know that the prospect of moving from SAP PI/PO to SAP Integration Suite is a daunting task rife with a lot of uncertainty. Moreover, you are not ready to leave your PI/PO landscape that you have worked on for your years even if Integration Suite is the fancy new platform with a lot of potential. Why choose between them when you can have both? 🤔 Create and develop a hybrid landscape with both SAP PI/PO and Integration Suite. Here’s why a hybrid approach could be the perfect solution: - Leverage Your Existing PI/PO Landscape: Keep the system you've worked so hard on. - Gradual Migration: Migrate easier integrations to Integration Suite to test its performance. - Flexible Integration: Maintain both platforms to meet your organization's unique business needs. With Figaf, making this transition is seamless: - Comprehensive PI/PO Landscape Assessment - Thorough Testing of Migrations to Integration Suite - Establish an Integration DevOps Environment in Both Platforms - Save Time and Money at Every Step Get started now with the Free Figaf Migration Edition and create your hybrid landscape! 🌟 Would you consider developing a hybrid landscape with your integrations? How will you run your SAP Integration projects in a easy and efficient way to handle Asyncronious flow without having to build all error handling into your flows? I have been hosting these sessions a couple of times. Now we add the final parts about testing and transporting it, so make it a useful process. We will cover: * Migration from SAP PI * Testing the migrated scenarios * Looking and modified the Partner Directory for the case * Transport of the flows including running reusing Dev also for QA * Monitoring options   I hope you will join and ask your questions. Alternatively, you can just ask them before the event in the comments.

What does AI look like inside Figaf? With 2406, we added AI to the Figaf tool. It doesn't make sense to have AI generate some random code without being able to run and experiment with it quickly. That is what we have tried without implementation. To give you all the context you need when working like input and output payloads. You can explore this yourself in the free version of Figaf DevOps Tool. #SAP #SAPIntegration

Where do you check other developers' code? Especially if there are new developers on the team. I have never worked for a customer with SAP Integration that checked the development for quality. We pinky swore that our integration was good. However, that differs from how you are supposed to develop integration in 2017. I showed how you in Figaf could view transports with different perspectives to determine if the iflow could be approved. We got into a conversation about where to approve transport. You should approve the quality when you move the code from Development to QA/Test. It is the easiest place to come up with corrections for the change. If you first involved the Business Gods in the testing, you cannot return and say place check again. Your developer did not understand our guidelines. The guidance is important if you have many different developers working on your system. You are the one that needs to live with their code afterwards. P.s. Do you approve the quality of the integrations you approve and between which system. #SAP #SAPIntegration

Why are Integration Developers always the bottleneck? But is it the developer or the process? The problem with building integrations is that you can first do it when all systems are configured. Then you can first start with confidence. That means the integrations developers start later. You first know what the different cases that should be supported once you are running it live and perform your testing. You as the business owner also need to ensure that they always have create the correct assumption when you are testing. It is challenging to know mappings in advance and it is first something that you know once you start with the integration development. There you see something is missing. Integration is always the part that is always missed on some projects so you never know when it should be delivered. The team is often small so if there is something live that fails they will need to divert to it before they can work on projects. It is a fight for resources. So do give the integration developers a break. With Figaf you can give the developers a tool that makes them more productive. Also, they can create much better work for the cases they work on. What do you think is causing bottlenecks in your development?

💡 I’d like to share an SAP Help Portal page that every SAP Cloud Integration developer should have in their bookmarks: Headers and Exchange Properties Provided by the Integration Framework (link in the comments). 📋 You will not be surprised to learn that this page lists all the headers and properties that SAP Cloud Integration makes available to you. This is really handy in itself, of course, but what elevates this page to super useful, is the fact that you can filter and search the table. 🤔 Can’t quite remember the name of that JMS header that holds the number of retries so far? This SAP Help Portal page has got you covered and that’s why it deserves a place in your SAP Cloud Integration toolbox. #sap #sapintegration #sapintegrationsuite

Figaf 🤝🏻 Artificial Intelligence Figaf is going to figure out how use AI to be effective and innovative for our customers regarding their management of SAP Integrations. We are starting small with APIs available to connect to OpenAI but it's only the beginning.

Figaf will be an AI Driven company. It has been a topic that I have been asked about for the last year. I saw little we could contribute. After SAPsappire, I decided to start an adventure and see if we could create something worthwhile. In the ideal world, we could use customers' iflows for training models on and use them to create a good AI. Unfortunately, there are a few challenges 1) We don't have access to customers iflows 2) Even if we did, many probably did not want to let us train on their data 3) 50% of the iflows are poorly designed making them bad candidates for training We took the easy approach and just added a few API calls to Open AIs API. You just plugin your own OpenAI key and communicate with them. We will not be able to see the conversation. For now, it seems quite a useful approach. It will be interesting to explore how it can help you create better SAP Integrations. Then let's see what we can do. Where do you think we can leverage AI most?

SAP Cloud Integration can move large files. This will get in trouble with Integration Architects. For the 20 years I have worked with SAP integration, I have always tried to be pragmatic. SAP Cloud Integration was not designed to move large files. It was designed to handle messages efficiently, and it is really good at it. But you will get into scenarios where you must move or process larger files. SAP Cloud Integration license is based on the number of messages you use. If you move a 100 Mb file it will cost 400 messages. If you do that for 30 days it will be 12.000 messages or about 8 EUR on the highest price. And 2 EUR if you use many messages. What will it cost to get a new middleware platform? What will it cost to operate it and teach people to use it. But it is much more expensive. Unless it is a widely used pattern. There are limits to file sizes that are allowed with Integration Suite. We have a case where a customer wanted to move a 1 GB file from Cloud to an on-premise disk. That is not something I would do, but it would be possible to find ways around it. I have not considered using Cloud Integration for large files because I fear the cost. But 8 EUR per month for an interface is a bargain. Ps. Do you consider license cost when defining the integration #SAP #SAPIntegration
