Lynn C. Fritz Medal for Excellence in Humanitarian Logistics: The Expert Council evaluated all international #scm projects submitted by humanitarian organizations over the course of several weeks. On June 25, the experts discussed the results in an online meeting and presented the three best projects to the jury for selection in 2024. The criteria for the evaluation were #economy, #efficiency, #innovation, #sustainability and exemplary character for the sector. Next steps: The international jury has until July 12 to read the details about projects in the final and vote on them. Next step: The winner will be announced in fall and awarded at the Logistics Hall of Fame gala reception in Berlin in early December. The winner will also present the project at ConnectChains - The Humanitarian Supply Chain Conference in Berlin. The Lynn C. This year's finalists for induction into the International Logistics Hall of Fame have been announced! 🎉 The Logistics Hall of Fame Council nominated four outstanding personalities for induction as new members at the Bundesministerium für Digitales und Verkehr (BMDV) on Monday. Additionally, four candidates have reached the finals for the prestigious Logistics Leader of the Year award sponsored by STILL GmbH. Many thanks to the humanitarian organizations that submitted successfully completed projects for the Lynn C. Fritz Medal for Humanitarian Logistics 2024 by the deadline. The medal is presented by the Logistics Hall of Fame, sponsored by Fritz Institute. All applications will be evaluated by the seven members of the Expert Council and Thilo Jörgl, Chairperson of the Jury, until June 25. On June 27, the Expert Council's shortlist will be presented to the international jury for voting. The award ceremony will take place in Berlin at the beginning of December. 🌍📊 Key Findings from the Latest Trend Survey by the Logistics Hall of Fame and SCHUNCK GROUP: 🔹 Financial Risk Awareness: Over 50% of companies rate the risk of financial losses due to climate change as medium to high. Every second transport and logistics company shares this concern. 💼 Investment in Sustainability: More than 70% of respondents have already invested in climate, compliance, and employee-related sustainability areas. 75% of surveyed companies are investing based on ESG criteria (Environment, Social, and Governance). 📜 Future Legal Obligations: ESG criteria help companies report on their sustainability efforts. More companies will be legally required to comply with ESG reporting in the coming years.
