Your main activities in this position

Position Overview

We are seeking a talented UI/UX Designer to join our Pulheim office. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a startup environment, where initiative, problem-solving skills, and creativity are highly valued. At Cubonic, we don't believe in overworking our team, but rather in fostering a collaborative environment where everyone contributes to the company's success. The UI/UX Designer will be responsible for understanding project requirements, asking relevant questions, and implementing designs using Figma. This is a hands-on role that requires someone who can take ownership of projects and drive them to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and user needs.
  • Design intuitive and engaging user interfaces for our digital services, focusing on usability and accessibility.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to effectively communicate design concepts.
  • Iterate on designs based on feedback, user testing, and industry best practices.
  • Work closely with developers to ensure smooth implementation of designs.
  • Maintain and update design documentation as needed.
  • Contribute to the development of Cubonic's design system and UI/UX guidelines.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role.
  • Promising portfolio showcasing UI/UX design projects, with a focus on web and mobile applications.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
  • Solid understanding of design principles, user-centered design methodologies, and accessibility standards.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.

Nice To Have

  • Experience designing interfaces for automotive or autonomous vehicle applications.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
  • Knowledge of front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
