Bünger & Frese is a leading distribution company of pool products to the German pool market, and we are looking for a Sales and business development Manager to lead our sales team located in Bremen. The Sales and business development Manager will be responsible for leading the sales team to achieve the company's revenue and profit margin goals, setting, and achieving the sales strategy for the company, and managing the pricing and profit margins for all the company's accounts. We are seeking someone with sales leadership experience, an entrepreneurial spirit, passion for sales, and who takes a hands-on approach to search for business opportunities.


This position will be part of the Bunger & Frese management team, leading a tight-knit team who tackles things together and a offers a long-term development opportunity in an international environment.


As an ambassador of Bünger & Frese you should support various types of channel partners and will be expected to take all the necessary actions to achieve our objectives, promoting offers and products by using your strong interpersonal skills to influence and drive business through a multi-channel industry network and stores owners.


You will be in charge of:

  • Provide direction and guidance with leadership to the Sales team.
  • Recruit, set goals, evaluate, and support the development of the Sales team.
  • Foster a culture of success and goal achievement within the team.
  • Lead with a strategic vision aligned with short and long-term organizational goals.
  • Cultivate and expand key customer relationships to grow the customer base.
  • Develop annual strategic sales plans to drive revenue growth in the local market.
  • Analyze market trends to identify new business opportunities and risks, devising tactical strategies to increase market share.
  • Manage daily and weekly activities, forecasts, and closed deals to ensure targets are met.
  • Negotiate commercial terms using analytical insights.
  • Assist in developing sales and marketing budgets based on strategic objectives.
  • Manage day-to-day partnerships across various dimensions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute corporate strategies and support growth.
  • Cooperate with sales/back office, workshop service, warehouse, and our international team.
  • Provide management with insights to enhance forecasting and understand market dynamics.
  • Work closely with marketing to execute effective marketing plans and go-to-market strategies.
  • Manage customer expectations to ensure high satisfaction levels.
  • Implement sales training programs to support team objectives.
  • Demonstrate product knowledge and benefits to distributors and partners.
  • Travel regularly with the team to ensure achievements of our sales and service goal.
  • Reporting to the Controller of B&F and the General Manager EMEA Distribution.

  • Requirements:

    • Studies and / or experience in the commercial/ technical filed.
    • Minimum 7 years of Business Development & Sales experience.
    • Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.
    • Experience managing large customer portfolios.
    • Management experience and strong understanding of sales strategies and implementations.
    • Charism and leadership
    • Excellent analytical abilities.
    • Advantageous to have engaged with C-level managers and worked in the internet/online industry.
    • Commercial vocational training or equivalent qualification required.
    • Proven track record selling B2B products.
    • Persuasive and proactive approach to customer interactions.
    • Collaborative mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
    • Experience working with the MS Office. ERP system – An advantage.
    • Technological understanding.
    • Ability to work independently and goal-oriented work.
    • Fluent in written and spoken German and English.
