Over the last year, project b. has built a team of seasoned founders with 50+ years experience unf*cking industries.

Today our team has set its sights on improving the lives of every German that interacts with payroll. Payroll hasn’t changed in 30 years. Gosh, the tools literally look like Windows 95.

We are integrating process automation & LLMs into a robust data architecture that is fundamentally changing how companies interact with their employees and service providers. You may even get paid faster.

Now this may seem a bit outlandish, as everyone is doing this these days. Our team has collectively raised over 750 million from VCs in Germany and Silicon Valley. They have also built one of Europe’s biggest payroll products on the tech and product side.

YOUR POSITION__

We’re looking for a senior UI/UX designer with an entrepreneurial mindset to elevate our design and teams to the next level. Every new hire raises the bar.

🤖 What you’ll be doing

• Own our design system to ensure consistency across all user interfaces and interactions;
• You co-own the design process: Lead the end-to-end design process from concept to completion based on the methodology to build x measure x learn x iterate x repeat;
• You work hands-on and own product functions/verticals with indirect support from a PM. And yes, we do agree with Brian Chesky 😉
• You conduct user research and analytics to stay closer to our customers than anyone else;
• You collaborate closely with our founders, the product, and engineering teams to deliver outcomes
• You are autonomous and mentor / grow our talented UI/UX design team
• You are connected in your UI/UX domain

• …experienced: 8+ years of experience in UI/UX design, of which 4+ years in Saas fintech/HR/payroll;
• …be a mentor: 2+ years leading, coaching and mentoring product designers
• …hands-on: You have built a design system before and want to do it even better leveraging your team;
• …user-centric: You develop a deep understanding of our users and educate all other team members;
• …mastering FIGMA as your design suite. We use LINEAR for project and task management;
• …proficient in German AND English

💶 Setting and compensation

• Building a startup is a marathon, not a sprint. You deserve 30 days of vacation per year.
• You are compensated with a salary and virtual shares. The annual salary ranges from 68.000€ - 80.000€.
