(Junior) Controller (m/f/d) - Focus Logistics & Purchasing

Together with a Senior Controller, your primary responsibility will be to support and optimize financial activities related to logistics operations and procurement processes, keeping our margins, costs and investments under control. You will do this by providing support and advice based on valuable reporting and insights.

You will also take part in project controlling for some of our larger logistics investment projects.

About The Role

• You support in the development and management of budgets for the logistics and purchasing departments. You prepare financial forecasts and reports and support monthly reporting & analysis on Cost of Goods Sold details
• You monitor and control logistics and procurement expenses to ensure they align with budgetary constraints. You conduct regular analysis about the cost, discounts and bonusses and provide insights to optimize spending
• Together with the team, you establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of logistics and purchasing processes. You are also involved in preparing the Logistics Scorecard.
• You collaborate with demand & supply planning teams to optimize inventory levels and minimize carrying costs. You evaluate exceptional stocking requests from a controlling perspective and measure and identify opportunities to improve supplier payment terms
• You are involved in business case development and project budget controlling for investment projects in logistics

About You

We are looking for an ambitious finance professional! Needless to say, you have strong numerical and analytical skills and the ability to maintain an overview of the financial landscape.

• Master Degree in Finance, (International) Business or similar
• You ideally have (first) work experience in a Controlling or Finance position
• You are enthusiastic about learning and growing your career in a dynamic environment
• You love data and manage this by strong MS Office skills
• You have business fluent English skills, additional German skills would be an advantage
• As our logistics center is in Sevenum (near Venlo), outside the city in the industrial area, you are willing and able to go there by car regularly
