This pivotal role will allow you to leverage your expertise in product management, business development, and market analysis to drive growth and innovation in our Micro Protection Business Unit within the Cosmetic Ingredients Division.

The position can be located at our main hubs in EMEA (Holzminden, Germany; Clichy, France).

Your Role

As the Global Category Director for Product Protection, you'll lead the strategic management of our Product Protection Category, driving growth and profitability while ensuring compliance and innovation. Your main responsibilities will include refining and implementing global strategies, providing visionary leadership to the product management team, conducting market analysis, collaborating with internal stakeholders, and spearheading business development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fine-tune and implement global strategies for the Product Protection Category.
• Provide effective leadership to motivate and inspire the Product Management team.
• Manage the Product Protection portfolio with the support of Global Product Managers
• Maintain healthy growth and profitability for the Category.
• Conduct comprehensive market analysis to identify growth opportunities and competitive advantages.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across various departments to ensure compliance, protect intellectual property, and optimize production processes.
• Drive business development efforts by establishing promotional campaigns, coordinating marketing communication, and managing strategic projects alongside sales teams.
  
  

What about you?

You hold a Master's Degree in Science, Engineering, or Pharmaceutical Sciences, with a desirable background in marketing. You bring several years' experience in the cosmetics industry, including successful years in product management of cosmetic ingredients. Prior experience in people management is preferred.

You possess a proven track record of successfully managing a portfolio of cosmetic ingredients and demonstrates exceptional project management skills. You exhibit excellent written and oral communication skills in English and are adept at collaborating with diverse teams. You can travel between 10-20% maximum.

An understanding of the global landscape of cosmetic preservatives is advantageous, but not mandatory. Above all, you embody a collaborative, team-player mindset essential for success in this role.
