Welcome to Aevoloop. We are a young company and have set ourselves the goal of revolutionising the world of plastics by developing planet-proof materials that are not only fully recyclable and degradable, but also high-performance and versatile.

Our process starts with the oxidative treatment of conventional plastic waste (polyolefins) to extract the base chemicals for our sustainable plastics. The process is similar to low-temperature pyrolysis, but produces particularly valuable decomposition products. This approach enables us to tackle the plastic crisis from both sides: we recycle plastic waste on the one hand and convert it into new, sustainable plastics on the other.

Together with our industrial partners, we now want to make these extremely promising technologies, which have been developed at the highest scientific level, ready for the market!

Qualification and responsibilities

As a chemical engineer (Master's + professional experience or PhD level), you will work on the further scaling of our reactors and down-streaming plants from laboratory to tonne production scale. In addition to procuring commercially available systems, you will also design and develop new system concepts. You will also be responsible for technical communication with manufacturers and strategic partners.

You will have theoretical and practical expertise in the development, design and use of reactors - especially down-streaming processes, such as distillation, fractionation and extraction.

You will translate the requirements from the chemical side and use them to lead the engineering development for our oxidation and down-streaming processes, so ideally you will also have a solid understanding in the field of heterogeneous catalysis and chemical purification.
