Our very own Luis Martinez was a panel speaker at the "Green Gas Mobility Summit 24" last week, organized by Gasnam-Neutral Transport. The panel focused on pioneering projects in the production of e-fuels, and it was a pleasure to share the stage with companies leading breakthrough projects in Spain, especially SAF producers. It's inspiring to see so many smart companies working towards decarbonizing Europe at a record pace. Achieving our goals for a greener Europe requires collective effort, and it's encouraging to be reminded that we're not alone on this journey. A key topic discussed was water consumption in e-fuel production, often overlooked in these conversations. 💧 Special thanks to Almudena Martín Cubillo for highlighting this crucial issue. At TURN2X, our modular approach ensures minimal water usage, utilizing tap water or recycling water from biomethane digestate. Our plants consume less than 2% of the standard water consumption of a beef farm! Being mindful of water consumption is essential, particularly in Spain, to avoid competition with agricultural concessions or other industries. 🚀 TURN2X attended the Neue Gase conference in Berlin. The conference with this year’s topic “Neue Gase – wir machen unser Business fit für die klimaneutrale Zukunft” was hosted by  BDEW Bundesverband der Energie- und Wasserwirtschaft e.V., DVGW Deutscher Verein des Gas- und Wasserfaches, and Zukunft Gas. The event brought together representatives from the energy industry, as well as stakeholders from politics and society, to reflect on the approaches and experiences within the gas and hydrogen sectors. It explored how the path to climate neutrality can be managed from a business perspective, fostering dialogue and collaboration to develop the framework for our future energy industry. It’s exactly where TURN2X comes in, as we help our industry clients decarbonize with our synthetic natural gas. We are thrilled to welcome Gobieta Alonso Franco to our team as our new Senior Project Development Manager! With over 20 years of experience in the renewable energy sector, she brings a wealth of expertise and a proven track record of success. Throughout her impressive career, Gobieta has held important roles that have shaped the industry. As the Business Development Technical Manager at Abengoa Solar, she led pioneering CSP technology projects across the globe, including the Shams Power 1 in Abu Dhabi, Kaxu, Khi, and Xina in South Africa, Solana and Mojave in the US, and Ashalim in Israel. Her leadership helped build a world-class international team of over 50 professionals. At Forestalia, Gobieta was instrumental in transforming the renewable market by introducing the first commercial renewable PPAs, driving the financing of 1GW of wind projects in Spain. Most recently, as part of Northland Power, a Canadian IPP listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange, she played a key role in securing financing for two major offshore projects in Taiwan and the Nordsee in 2023. Gobieta's experience and dedication to innovation are invaluable assets as we embark on the next energy revolution in Renewable Natural Gas (RNG). TURN2X is addressing the world's most pressing challenge: the climate crisis. There is a lot of talk about electrification and hydrogen. But the hard-to-abate sectors (e.g., glass, steel, maritime) are often overlooked. We provide renewable natural gas (RNG), which is a 100% replacement for fossil natural derived from green hydrogen and biogenic CO2. It can deliver a lot of value to customers who currently have no, or very limited solutions. RNG is 100% net zero, and drop-in ready today. Meaning we can use over 2 million kilometers of existing pipelines across Europe to transport green energy from A to B. There’s no need to replace burners or furnaces, so customers have little to no hurdles change to a net zero solution. This is what drives TURN2X. We want to help customers to decarbonize faster and reduce their emissions in cost-effective and fast ways. Things have gotten serious for TURN2X in 2024. In the last 6 months, we: 👉 Inaugurated our first commercial plant in Spain 👉 Met with Bill Gates & Robert Habeck  👉 Met with the German Ambassadors to Spain and France  👉 Won two awards (Best Hydrogen Project Spain and Most Promising Startup at Vivatech) 👉 Built up a triple-digit pipeline of potential sites to deploy more modules 👉 Brought in nearly 10 new team members (and counting) Real impact on climate doesn’t come from speeches or announcements but from tangible actions. With the successful inauguration of our first plant in March of this year, we didn’t just build a plant. We created a model for sustainable industry practices that is highly modular. Yes, there are hurdles like permits, securing raw materials, and managing the supply chain. But with our dedicated team and clear vision, these challenges are stepping stones to our goal. This year is about delivering for our customers, making a positive impact on the climate, and setting an example in the renewable energy industry.
