Your Role:

Be part of our Banking IT Transformation team and lead one of the biggest banking transformation projects in Germany and Switzerland. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Project Leadership: Manage the end-to-end delivery of the banking transformation project, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and customer requirements
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, internal teams, and external partners
  • Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timeline, resources, and budget. Monitor and control project progress, making adjustments as necessary to ensure successful delivery
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks, developing contingency plans to address potential issues
  • Communication: Provide regular project updates to senior management and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all project deliverables meet the highest quality standards and adhere to regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Financial Product Subledger experts, to ensure cohesive and coordinated project execution
  • Travel: Willingness to travel 50% of the time to various project locations within Germany and Switzerland

Possible working locations for this position are Munich, Walldorf, Berlin or remote from any location in Germany combined with willingness to travel.

Requirements

  • Education: University degree in economics, business administration, finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or PMP certification is a plus
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience in project management, particularly in IT transformation projects within the banking or financial services sector
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and organisational skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
    • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies
    • Extensive knowledge in one of the following bank areas and related IT systems would be strong plus: bank management (finance, accounting, controlling, regulatory risk, reporting), core banking, lending, payments, card management
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure
    • Excellent Excel skills and good technical understanding
    • Highly reliable, detail-oriented, and the ability to always keep track of things
    • Languages: Fluency in English is required and German preferred
