The Berlin 6G Conference has concluded successfully, with over 900 attendees. Our projects, 6G ANNA, 6G Take Off, and 6G Health, showcased cutting-edge innovations, attracting significant interest and highlighting the future of communication technology. It was a very successful week for our team of six people and a joy to meet you all.
The first day of the Berlin 6G Conference with more than 900 people is over. Federal minister Bettina Stark-Watzinger of #BMBF gave the opening keynote, highlighted the importance of 6G to society, indicated contining support for communications research and pointed out the importance of 5G and 6G for healthcare. Later you could see her on the picture looking at the #AR, #AI and healtcare and #robotics innovation exhibits of our partners Technische Universität Dresden and Technische Universität München. The 6G-Health Project of almost 20 partners is lead by Vodafone jointly with Universität Leipzig. We showed tech innovation inside the ambulance in thepicture and at our booth. For example how radar as potential 6G build-in technology can make patient condition monitoring much simpler and how this can be used to automatically connect the ambulance to the hospital. Project partner #NXP showed how chip-level security can build #trust for seamless use of wireless technology in healthcare. In the picture Max Rockstroh and myself as project leads at the project booth. I had the honour to be part of panel session on 6G use cases and requirements chaired by Hans Schotten of Deutsches Forschungszentrum für Künstliche Intelligenz (DFKI) with Andreas Mueller of #Bosch, Colin Willcock, chairman of 6G-IA, Toon Norp of TNO and Fabian Mackenthun of #NXP. At the booth of the 6G-ANNA project we show a joint demo with Nokia, Bosch, Mercedes-Benz AG and also Siemens. We can see digital twins in action, #XR, connected driving and a smart factory - all enhanced with tech elements which are candidates of a future #6G standard. Hundreds of people work on 6G innovation inside the project, develop an architecture to bring it together but also on scrutinizing the technology that it really delivers promised benefits of user experience, energy efficiency, simplicity, security, reliability etc. I think it is great have the industry verticals directly involved at the beginning of 6G development. Thanks to Sina Shafaei, PhD, Dr. Bharat Agarwal (Ph.D.), Muhammad Sami S., Umut Ö. and Rishikesh Chakraborty and Vodafone Tech Innovation Center Dresden. #Berlin6G
