🌟 Exkursion nach Erlangen: Ein inspirierender Tag für die Bildung 🌟 Unser Bildungsteam, begleitet von Rebecca Ottmann, verbrachte gestern einen spannenden Tag in Erlangen, der ganz im Zeichen der Weiterbildung und des Austauschs stand. Beim Besuch im AMEC (Additive Manufacturing Experience Center) bot Thomas Dürr faszinierende Einblicke in die digitale Transformation und Zukunftstechnologien wie das industrielle Metaverse. Digitale Innovationen spielen unbestreitbar eine entscheidende Rolle in unserer Gesellschaft. Daher engagiert sich die Siemens Stiftung seit langem für eine Kultur der Digitalität, in der die Stärken digitaler und analoger Welten sinnvoll miteinander verknüpft werden, um so Teilhabe und Chancengerechtigkeit zu fördern. Davon überzeugt sind auch Andrea Horn und Helmut Klemm, Schulleiter der Eichendorffschule, die Hauptpreisträger des Deutschen Schulpreises 2023 ist. In intensiven Diskussionen tauschten sich alle Beteiligten über innovative Bildungspraktiken und deren Umsetzung aus, wobei der Schwerpunkt auf MINT und Digitalität im Kontext von Bildungsgerechtigkeit lag. Der nächste Halt war der Siemens Campus, hier wurde das Team von Michael Kleemann, dem Innovationsmanager, durch den Campus geführt. Besonders beeindruckend war die Besichtigung des hauseigenen Maker Space, der kreative und praktische Innovationsförderung hautnah erlebbar machte. Der wertvolle Austausch mit innovativen Bildungspartnern und die tiefen Einblicke in zukunftsweisende Technologien und Konzepte haben das Team inspiriert und motiviert und sie freuen sich darauf, diese neuen Erkenntnisse in ihre Arbeit zu integrieren. #MINTBildung #Digitalität #VernetzteGesellschaften

Gestern durften wir an einem ganz besonderen Moment teilhaben: Der Grundsteinlegung des Siemensstadt Square! 🔔Mit dem neuen Stadtquartier in Berlin entsteht ein Zukunftsort, der auf Nachhaltigkeit, Innovation und digitale Lösungen setzt.   „Ich wünsche dem Zukunftsort Siemensstadt ein Bildungsort zu sein“, so Dr. Nathalie von Siemens, Präsidentin unseres Stiftungsrats, die in ihrem Redebeitrag die wichtige Bedeutung von Bildung betonte, wenn es darum geht eine Antwort sowohl auf die Chancen als auch auf die Risiken der digitalen Transformation und den damit verbundenen sozialen Herausforderungen zu finden. „Wir arbeiten an der Stärkung der dafür benötigten Schlüsselkompetenzen im Ökosystem der Siemensstadt Square mit dem #MINT -Hub gemeinsam mit den Schulen und Kitas vor Ort, damit Kinder und Jugendliche an der technologischen Transformation teilhaben können“, ergänzt Dr. Nina Smidt Vorständin der Siemens Stiftung.   Bundeskanzler Olaf Scholz warf in seiner Rede einen Blick in die Zukunft der Bildung: „Welche neuen Möglichkeiten sich daraus ergeben, das werden wir sicher gerade hier in der neuen Siemensstadt erleben. So soll etwa für Ausbildung, Studium und Schule ein Metaverse virtuelle Simulationen und interaktive Lernmaterialien bereitstellen. Die Lernenden werden so weltweit mit Expertinnen und Experten zusammenarbeiten können, und das Lernen soll effektiver, sicherer und praxisnäher gestaltet werden.“   Zukunft braucht Bildung! WeTu Impact Report 2023 With enthusiasm, we are humbled to release our first annual impact report detailing the work and impact we have achieved working with our customers, partners, and stakeholders since our incorporation in 2019. Five years ago WeTu was founded to provide affordable and reliable safe drinking water, clean energy and green mobility. Today we have transformed into a leading social enterprise in the rural areas of western Kenya, dedicated to advancing the Sustainable Development Goals. We are actively addressing climate change through renewable energy production and developing rural communities by providing safe drinking water through our renewable water ATM's. We have created cross-sectoral innovations by leveraging solar energy for production by making electric mobility and its charging process affordable and accessible, ice-flake production and solar-powered walk-in cold room to reduce farm produce and fish post-harvest losses. Through our electronic waste project, we are mitigating methane emissions. As we take bigger strides in fulfilling our vision we appreciate the support from our shareholder Siemens Stiftung, our project partners, employees, and customers for sharing our vision and mission. Together we are walking towards a cleaner environment, healthier planet, and sustainable future.
