Happy Earth Day
Today is Earth Day 🌱 ..and although we're a year behind in sharing, I have an exciting Rebirth Studios project that's too good not to share. Last year, we teamed up with Soho House & Co Berlin for a special Earth Day initiative. Our project focused on upcycling the iconic Soho House towels that were no longer in use due to minor impurities. Here’s a breakdown of how we brought new life to these materials: ♻ Material Analysis: We began by collecting the discarded towels to understand the materials available and determine their potential for repurposing. 💭 Design Phase: Our team in the Berlin Studio got creative, designing a series of unique items that breathed new life into the old towels. One of the was a beach bag: outside towels, inside as a lining discarded bed-sheets. ✂ Production Phase: We selected a production site that was perfect for this project, we worked with Bridge&Tunnel known for their commitment to ethical manufacturing processes. ‼ Launch Phase: On earth day a collaborative event was held at Soho House. The event included an Upcycling workshop and closed with a celebratory dance, making for a memorable Earth Day. Feeling inspired yet?
