MycoLutions develops circular materials using fungal mycelium. Our first product is an acoustic absorber that is designed specifically for use in coworking spaces and offices. It is unique in a way that it is entirely compostable, fire retardant and water repellent. Additives such as adhesives or fire retardants are not needed.

A week ago, we set off to be part of Viva Technology in Paris and we have returned with many amazing impressions, connections and insights. We had a great time presenting our ideas and material to companies, visionaries and investors. While it was very inspiring to walk around and see all the other stands, the best part of our time in Paris was having our own stand: showing samples of our work for others to see and touch, sparking conversations about sustainable material innovation and the potential of mycelium. Closing the loop A few years ago, Helge worked on his master's thesis with the help of Torsten, who provided him with mycelium substrate. Over time, our exchange has grown into a highly valued partnership. Torsten's expertise in mushroom cultivation has been a true inspiration to us, and we were therefore very delighted to provide Torsten and Heike Jonas with our own mycelium creation: acoustic absorbers. Closing the loop, we are looking forward to collaborating with BioMycoTec GmbH in the future to tackle the challenge of scaling up our mycelium material production. The Company’s over a decade of experience in handling mycelium substrates on a large scale makes them an invaluable partner in exploring the potential of mycelium as a building material. #Mycelium #Sustainability #Innovation
