After five intense weeks, Munich Re's prestigious Advance programme has come to a close. This year's cohort comprised of top talents from 14 countries and diverse roles and business areas. According to their feedback they gained valuable insights and perspectives on a wide range of relevant topics affecting our industry, including the impact of climate change, the evolution of digital and energy transformation and challenges associated with emerging risks and protection gaps. They enjoyed the exchange with Munich Re's senior executives and Board of Management as well as with external experts from the renowned University of St.Gallen MBA and the Hult Ashridge. For the first time, the Advance programme welcomed alumni of Munich Re's scholarship programs to the newly created event "Advance ReConnect 2024." The onsite and online gathering featured expert sessions on “Mental Health” and on “Generative AI applications in the insurance industry” as well as a special programme provided by our university partner. Rounded out with numerous networking opportunities the Advance ReConnect was a true success. The programme allowed the fellows to build lasting connections and networks with Munich Re colleagues, alumni, and among themselves. The programme concluded with an emotional farewell event, where the fellows received their official Advance Program certificates, confirming their successful completion of the program.
