After years at McKinsey & Company and now in a Tech leadership role, this is the biggest mistake I see young professionals do.. 👇 They rely heavily on their supervisors and colleagues... ...to tell them exactly what to do. ...to check over their work and fix mistakes. ...to finalize their work and make it presentable. Avoid this. Your results when shown to your leadership should meet high standards. When I was a consultant, I would ask myself: “Can I directly send this to a C-level client with my name on it?" If not, then it’s not ready for your supervisor. You can of course ask for help and guidance, though act on it yourself. Lead generation is top of mind for industry leaders! Pleasure to join last week's McKinsey & Company event as guest speaker and share our Building Radar insights. My top 3 takeaways: ▶️ Execution is key: While many firms introduced CRM systems, many struggle to use the systems effectively. More often than not, CRMs turn into data graveyards with limited team adoption. ▶️ Lead vs. opportunity management: Opportunity mgmt. with structured opportunity phases is common practice. Though few firms apply the same diligence to lead processes - this leaves significant value potential untapped. ▶️ CRM is a C-level topic: It is a big mistake to completely "outsource" the CRM setup to external agencies with hands-off mentality.
