Inspiring ESG Strategy Meeting with the Weymouth Team! 🌱 The inspiring ESG strategy meeting held recently with Richard Ooi, Head of ESG at ASMPT, Susanne Oswald, Director Corporate Communications at ASMPT, and the enthusiastic Weymouth ESG Committee at ASMPT SMT Solutions in the UK was a pure pleasure. What an engaging and dynamic group! The team in Weymouth is a leader within ASMPT and a true role model regarding sustainability and social responsibility. Their creativity and commitment to finding and developing sustainable solutions are impressive. 👏 The first example concerns E (Environmental): The Weymouth team has developed an “Environmental Strategic Direction 2025” for the Weymouth site. This includes reducing the environmental impact through an improved supplier, manufacturing, and logistics network, reducing paper usage by 50 percent by encouraging the use of digital solutions, avoiding plastic packaging waste through recyclable packaging materials, and eliminating all single-use plastics in the working environment at ASMPT Weymouth. Part of the savings achieved in this way is reinvested in local environmental projects – and this is the second example, S (Social). When it comes to local environmental projects, the motivated employees are happy to lend a hand themselves, for example with the Weymouth & Portland Marine Litter Project or the Tumbledown Farm Project. The team in Weymouth is committed to its community with work, donations in kind or money and learns a lot about the high relevance with which the topic of sustainability permeates all areas of our lives. This strategy meeting once again demonstrated the importance of a shared focus and management support. Through targeted investments, we can achieve our ESG goals and positively contribute to society worldwide as a whole. 🔹 Tech Days Monterrey, Mexico: A Great Success! 🔹 Together with Smartsol Technologies, we hosted a successful Technology Days event in Monterrey, Mexico, at the Smartsol demonstration and training facility. The event attracted approximately 90 attendees from various electronics manufacturers in the area. During the event, we highlighted the innovative DEK TQ, showcasing its unique features such as the split cover design for non-stop paste replenishment, off-belt printing for enhanced yield, all-purpose clamping suitable for any application, a new under screen cleaner, and smart pin placement. We also introduced new features, including paste transfer and quick exchange squeegees. Additionally, we presented selected software solutions designed to enhance manufacturing efficiency and productivity. Promoting young talents at ASMPT: A hands-on experience for our YPN 🙌 The Young Professional Network (YPN) at ASMPT enables young employees to network within the company and improve their personal and professional skills. In an engaging workshop, the YPN participants produced a unique bottle opener keyring under the guidance of the technical training team. This workshop provided valuable insight into the technical training program and highlighted the work of our apprentices. Participants had the opportunity to tour the facilities and see where the craftsmanship takes place at ASMPT. This workshop was also attended by YPN members with no technical background, giving them a new perspective and valuable insight into this important aspect of the business. 🔍 Observing the detail and precision required to create a simple product was fascinating. Such initiatives not only encourage innovation and teamwork, but also create a stronger, closer community within ASMPT.
