Founded in 2003, ThomasLloyd Group is a cleantech advisor, sustainable energy infrastructure project developer and asset manager, and climate finance specialist. The Group owns, develops, finances, constructs, operates and manages energy infrastructure projects with a focus on growth markets in the Asia-Pacific region. The Group’s Asset Management division is one of the longest established sustainable energy investment managers in emerging and developing Asia. It invests in higher margin markets with focus on achieving strong financial returns in addition to generating intentionally positive, measurable social and environmental impact. Headquartered in Zurich, the company has global presence with offices across Europe, Asia and North America.
Currently on an accelerated growth plan and executing a significant growth agenda to deliver a scalable global climate solutions platform, the company is seeking a Group Chief Operating Officer to be part of our journey to accelerate the transition to net zero.
Your Role
As a Group Chief Operating Officer, you will be responsible for implementing the group’s strategy to ensure operational success. You will lead group level global corporate teams across all disciplines, delivering robust systems, processes and efficiencies, while driving the company’s culture and values. You will ensure that the team, resources, and systems are all pulling in the same direction towards our growth trajectory and business plans are tactically executed to deliver the group’s strategy. You will drive clarity of purpose throughout the company using KPIs and effective methods of accountability, fostering continuous improvement initiatives and implementing best practices.
This role will report to the Group Chief Executive Officer, will be part of the Executive Committee and will be based in Zurich.

Your Role

This role will report to the Group Chief Executive Officer, will be part of the Executive Committee and will be based in Zurich.
Your Responsibilities
- Drive the implementation of the group’s strategy, while building executable business plans to support and allow for accelerated growth and scale-up of the business.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track and ensure operational performance.
- Play a vital role as a Member of the Executive Committee, which is shaping the organisation’s strategic direction and culture.
- Responsible for leading group level global corporate functions and teams: People & Culture, ESG, IT, Risk & Compliance, Legal, Corporate Marketing & Communications, Procurement, Office & Premises Management and appropriately representing these functions at the Executive Committee level.
- Create and support synergies between internal business units, streamlining processes and creating efficiencies.
- Foster operational excellence, while building and maintaining a strong corporate culture globally.
- Lead cross-functional teams to deliver multiple projects aligned with the required outputs.
- Keep abreast of requirements and standards relevant to the organisation's operations, identify and mitigate operational risks.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team, providing appropriate guidance and support.
- Existing experience as Chief Operating Officer, Chief Executive Officer or Deputy Chief Executive Officer in a high-growth and fast-paced environment within the Clean Energy, Energy Transition, Technology or related sectors.
- Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of effectively leading global corporate operations across multiple functions / departments.
- Existing international experience and track record of successfully operating across geographical markets and in a multi-cultural environment.
- Demonstrated ability to drive operational success through building appropriate business plans, goals, KPIs and other metrics.
- Proven experience in driving corporate operations initiatives to scale a business for growth and successfully delivering transformational projects and/or managing M&A integration processes.
- Strong understanding of existing market trends and regulations in our sectors and business segments.
